Chris Arthur is having a fantastic year and is currently leading the English Fell Running Championships. This will be his England debut. Chris Farrell (pictured) had an outstanding race last year finishing 2nd to England team mate Chris Smith. Both Chris Arthur and Chris Farrell have also been selected to represent Great Britain at the European Mountain Running Championships in Slovenia. Tom Adams is our most experienced athlete having represented Great Britain at three World Championships, Tom finished 5th at Snowdon two years ago and is hoping to improve on that performance this year. Chris Holdsworth made his England debut at the Mountain Running Home International / World Trial on the 18th June finishing 6th, he has also qualified to represent Great Britain in August at the World Long Distance Mountain Running Championships in Italy.
Helen Glover also made her England debut at the Home International and finished 7th securing the team title for England. Heidi Dent (pictured) had an outstanding race last year to finish 2nd and also ran at the European Mountain Running Championships finishing 7th and helping Great Britain to the team silver. Heidi has had a few injuries but is fully recovered and looking forward to a successful return. Sharon Taylor has a wealth of fell running experience and finished 2nd in last year British Fell Running Championships and is currently in 3rd position in this year’s English Championship. Sharon last ran for England at Snowdon back in 2003! Caitlin Rice recently finished 11th at both the European and World Mountain Running Trials and it’s this consistently high performance level that has gained Caitlin selection for the Snowdon Mountain Race.
