Loughborough International 2022 selection policy now published
England Athletics is pleased to announce the publication of our first Track and Field Team Selection Policy for 2022.
The Loughborough International is an annual event where athletes from Loughborough University compete against selected teams from England, Scotland, Wales and GB Juniors. England Athletics principal aim is to enable the best senior athletes in England to compete internationally.
Track and Field selections
England will look to select one athlete in each of the following events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 100/110mH, 400mH, 3000m s/chase, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault, Shot, Discus, Javelin, Hammer as well as teams in 4x100m and 4x400m relays*.
Given the statements above, selection will be in consideration of.
- Indoor and outdoor form from 2022.
- Performances up to 15 May 2022.
*Relay selections
- A team will be selected for Men’s and Women’s relays (4x100 and 4x400).
- Individual 100m and 400m selections will be automatically added to the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams respectively.
