England’s women’s team shine at the Home Nations 5k

On a wet day in Bute Park, the senior teams along with a selection U20 athletes as a development opportunity, tackled the multi lap course in the torrential rain.
England's Poppy Tank (City of Plymouth) picked up an individual podium position, coming home in third in a time of 16:04.50, behind winner Alex Bell (Pudsey & Bramley, Andrew Henderson) and second place Holly Dixon (Cambridge Harriers). Tank's excellent finish helped the England women's team to first place overall.

In the men's race, Cameron Reilly (Guildford & Godalming, Daniel Wallis) was the fastest England team finisher in 10th place in a time of 14:08.6. The overall race was won by a surging Jack Rowe (Aldershot, Farnham & District) in 13:31.9, closely followed by Scott Beattie (Morpeth, Andrew Hobdell) in 13:37.4.
