England para teams selected for Nottwil and Paris Grand Prix

We are pleased to announce that we will be sending two England para teams to the upcoming Nottwil Grand Prix in Switzerland, and Paris Grand Prix next month.

This will be the first time we have sent an England team to both events with those selected for the Nottwil GP also have the opportunity to compete at the Daniela Jutzeler Memorial the following day. The athletes selected are currently on our England Talent Pathway and will be lining up against some of the world’s best. The high standards of competition are providing the perfect opportunities for the athletes chasing down all-important qualifying standards for the Paris Paralympic Games.

Speaking on the upcoming competitions England Athletics National Para Manager, Matt Kendrick said:

“These are exciting teams which we have selected from within our England Talent Pathway. There are a mix of experienced international para athletes alongside those making their international debut.

“Attending high level competitions like these are a vital part of a para athletes’ development and I am excited to see the teams perform at two fantastic competitions. Athletes at the Paris Grand Prix will be given a taste of what is to come later this summer at the Paralympic Games whilst those at Nottwill will compete against the world’s best wheelchair races at one of the most highly anticipated wheelchair racing events.”
