England Athletics Relay Championships hosted by Birchfield Harriers
The England Athletics Relay Championships hosted by Birchfield Harriers on 17 August 2025 will be by invite. 24 teams will be invited across age groups based on Power of 10 performances. Who have you currently got to beat?
View the current rankingsIf you are competing this weekend in a league match, put out your best team to secure your qualifying time on Power of 10 for the Relay Championships.
Invites for the Relays will be issued on 15 July and be open for acceptance until 25 July. If after this date the entries for each race are not full, then the entry system may be opened for any club to apply. The closing date for this would be 6 August.
Here is a reminder of the key event information:
- Sprint events:Â In addition to the traditional events held last year, Birchfield, keen on innovation and passionate about relays, have made some additional suggestions for the Relay Championships. The traditional event will include:
- 4x100m for U15’s, U17’s, U20’s and Seniors for both men and women.
- 4x300m for U15 boys and girls, and the U17 women.
- 4x400m for the U17 men, and the Senior men and women.
- Mixed 4x400m for the U20 age group.
- Hurdle events: The more innovative events include Shuttle hurdles – open invite for clubs to enter teams.
- 2x110m senior men
- 2x100m senior women
- Universal Relay
- Endurance relays: 4x800m – open entry for any club who can field an eligible team
Expression of interest:Â Clubs can express an interest in submitting a team for the shuttle hurdles and endurance relay and athletes can express an interest in taking part in the universal relay. England Athletics will form teams for the Universal Relays from the expression of interest.
