England Athletics achieves Silver Investors in People accreditation

England Athletics has been awarded Silver accreditation against the Investors in People Standard.

The award is in recognition of England Athletics having ‘the right principles in place but more than that it demonstrates people and leaders are making active efforts to ensure there’s real consistency and everyone in the organisation are feeling the effects.’

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate England Athletics. Silver accreditation on We invest in people is a remarkable effort for any organization, and places England Athletics in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

Chris Jones, CEO of England Athletics, said: “We are extremely proud and humbled to have achieved this level of accreditation from Investors in People and thank them for their recognition of the work being done across all areas of the business. It was a helpful learning and developmental exercise to go through and whilst it was reassuring that we are doing some good work, particularly around wellbeing, to support our people at England Athletics, the evaluation feedback will be helpful as we focus internally on the areas where we need to enhance the experience of those working for the organisation. This is particularly relevant given the impact of the pandemic on the working environment and across wider society, and in turn provide a better support service to the sport.

“Thanks must also go to those who contributed to this independent assessment process and whose positive contributions to the culture and operations of England Athletics have helped to deliver this outcome.”

Silver accreditation is an award only 15% of the organisations assessed by Investors in People achieve.
