National and Regional Athlete and Coach workshops

This autumn and winter England Athletics has launched a new series of event specific workshops which see coaches and their athletics coming together for training and development opportunities. These events have been well received by the coaches and athletes with more events planned for early 2018 that you can now book on to.

Olympic gold medallist Thomas Rohler hosts Javelin Masterclass

Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd December saw a very special guest visit Loughborough University for a set of Javelin Masterclass Events. Rio 2016 Olympic Gold Medallist flew over especially for the event and was able to showcase not only his phenomenal athletic skills, but also his ability to inspire a group of javelin throwers and coaches.

Places for our endurance Masterclasses with Malcolm Brown have sold very quickly. The last few places are available (at time of publication). Please book now to avoid disappointment.Malcolm has been coach to many international athletes as well as Olympic triathlon medalists Alistair and Jonny Brownlee. Numbers are very limited to allow time for coaches to interact and get the most out off the session with Malcolm. Each session is also followed by one of our Marathon Evening sessions with Nick Anderson and other experts.

Supporting Athletes with Eating Disorders - January Webinar by Female Coaching Network

Following high demand for December's webinar on this subject the Female Coaching Networkwill be delivering a second webinar on Wednesday 10 January 2017. This webinar aims to help sports professionals and volunteers, specifically coaches, working with athletes of all ages and abilities to detect possible eating problems at an early stage as well as looking at subjects such as how coaches can contribute to reducing the eating disorder risk and how coaches can support athletes who are currently experiencing eating problems.

Applications invited for next round of Club Run

England Athletics are pleased to announce the launch of the next round of Club Run and welcome applications from off track and road running clubs across the country. The closing date for this next round of applications is midnight 18th February.

Endurance Masterclasses with Malcolm Brown

England Athletics is delighted to announce a series of exclusive opportunities to sit and chat with Malcolm Brown about all things endurance. Road Running Road Shows to launch in 2018

England Athletics are launching a series of Road Shows for the club road running community. The Road Shows are open to club officers, coaches, leaders and club members and offer an opportunity to find out more about some of the new and existing initiatives that aim to support road running clubs, as well as an opportunity for you to share your ideas with us.
