Indoor Championships cancellation

In response to British Athletics today confirming the decision to cancel the British Athletics Indoor Championships in February, we have issued the following statement.

England Athletics statement:

"Following today’s decision by British Athletics to cancel the British Indoor Championships due to be staged at Glasgow’s Emirates Arena, on the 20 and 21 February, England Athletics has cancelled the series of events organised to help specific athletes prepare for these Championships. This decision has been taken in light of the current situation in the country and is in line with British Athletics and England Athletics recognising our wider social responsibility to reduce COVID-19 transmission and to not over-burden the NHS."
