England team selected for 2023 Loughborough International

We are pleased to confirm the athletes selected to compete for England at the Loughborough International on Sunday (21 May).

This year marks 65 years of this iconic track and field championship, which has seen many great names and performances over the years.

The competition is an important marker in the early outdoor season as athletes look to improve on their current form or chase qualifying standards ahead of this year’s World Athletics Championships and World Para Athletics Championships.

This year will also mark the first year that para-athletes will compete as part of each team in the match competition.

Reigning champions from 2022, England will be up against teams representing Loughborough University, Scotland, Wales, and Great Britain and Northern Ireland Under-20s.

We know that for some this will be their England senior debut, and for all this will be a great opportunity to compete for their country at the highest level.
