England Athletics select athletes for the Anglo Celtic Plate 100km

England Athletics is delighted to announce the athletes selected to represent England at the Anglo Celtic Plate 100km.

Ollie Garrod (club: South London Harriers) leads a men’s team of four runners at the race in April. Garrod finished third at the 2022 event and went on to represent Great Britain at the world 100k championships in August that year.

He is joined by experienced ultra-runner Paul Martelletti (club: Tower Hamlets & Victoria Park Harriers, coach: Nick Anderson) who was sixth in the Anglo Celtic Plate in 2022 and has also represented Great Britain at the world 50km and world 100km championships in the past.

Nicholas Barry (club: Sale Harriers) is selected after an excellent period of form including a 2hrs:23mins:31secs marathon time in Berlin.

Dale Seddon (club: Candy Racing, coach: Andy Elks) gains selection after running 2hrs:23mins:46secs at the Valencia Marathon in December.

Sarah Webster (club: Northern IOM AC, coach: David Leach) is the sole female athlete selected for England after winning the Chester Marathon in 2hrs:44mins:29secs in October and representing IOM at the Commonwealth Games in August.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to select a full women's England team due to a lack of expressions of interest from athletes with a selection standard.

Team staff: Robbie Britton, Vicky Griffiths and Dr Jamie Pugh.
