Athletics competition continues to make a comeback and Athletics Weekly highlight some of the top recent results from around the world; Olympic shot put champion moves to equal third on the world all-time list, while Andrew Pozzi clocks another 110m hurdles world lead in Savona and Katarina Johnson-Thompson opens her season. Plus mid to long distance track events from Portland, Oregon (USA) and Chitose, Japan - and a sprints and horizontal jumps Velocity Fest from Jamaica. CLoser to home, ultra runner John Kelly set a fastest known time for the Pennine Way after covering the 268-mile route in two days, 16 hours and 46 minutes.

The Throws Fest, a test event designed in conjunction with England Athletics to help the sport prepare for post-lockdown action, saw 45 invited entrants over the four events – discus, shot put, hammer and javelin – having to familiarise themselves with a number of new rules, as well as officials changing some roles and feeding back for future events.
