2019 England Athletics Road Running championships and track 10,000m championship

England Athletics are delighted to announce new opportunities for endurance athletes in 2019. Our national road running championships will see a 5M title added, we are creating a ‘Champions of the Road’ series details of our road running championships and our 10,000m track championship will be held on Friday 7 June.

For the 2019 England Championships Road Running Series we are proud to be working with some of the best event providers in the country to be offering registered runners and affiliated clubs up and down the country the opportunity to compete as both individuals and teams in National Championship races. By adding the 5 mile distance to the Championship series we will now be providing six England Athletics championship race opportunities for road running enthusiasts.

In addition, we are be launching a 2019 ‘Champions of the Roads’ series offering individuals and club teams competing in three or more of the Championship races the chance to become the outright England Athletics Champion of the Roads.  Special awards and prizes will be made in these categories, including bespoke kit designed for the series winners.

Each of the six races listed will be a stand-alone England Championship race with individual and team titles up for grabs at 5k, 5miles, 10k, 10 miles, Half-Marathon & Marathon.

However, in addition the results from each of these races will count towards the overall race series with opportunities for small, medium and large clubs to get involved.

We are also delighted to be working with Orion Harries and the FASTFriday 10,000m at Walthamstowe to see the England Athletics 10,000m championships held there on Friday 7 June 2019. Since 2014 this event has grown and provided an important opportunity for athletes looking for a good quality 10,000m race. Further details will be available at www.orionharriers.com/fast-friday/.
