Macmillan Cancer Support is delighted to be working with England Athletics in 2024.

Every year Macmillan Cancer Support have thousands of fantastic supporters pull on their trainers, swimming caps, cycling helmets and hiking boots to fundraise across our iconic events. They are moving mountains to help us be there for people living with cancer and partnering with England Athletics means we can give them the best training support to get them to the finish line.

Why it matters to us

Macmillan is doing whatever it takes to support people living with cancer. We’re at the end of the phone. We’re online. Macmillan volunteers are supporting people through treatment. And our Macmillan health professionals are working tirelessly across the UK. We keep pushing every day to do whatever it takes to ensure people with cancer get the support they need to live fully, whether that’s with physical concerns, how they feel, money worries, or something different altogether.

At Macmillan, we know that the number of people living with cancer is rising, and by 2030 we estimate that over 4 million people will be living with cancer in the UK. Macmillan Cancer Support has committed to be there for everyone who needs us, from the moment they receive their cancer diagnosis.

Macmillan Cancer Support will be working with England Athletics and Run Together to inspire runners across the country with opportunities to participate in our events. As part of our event offering, you will receive expert training advice and resources from the team at England Athletics. Most importantly, Macmillan will provide you with a reason to put in those months of training and fundraising, because you know your efforts are going towards improving the lives of people living with cancer in the UK.
