Podcast #26: Excitement builds for Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games

Episode #27 of the England Athletics podcast:

In this episode, you will hear from England Athletics Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Team Leader Kelly Sotherton who has been chatting to Rob Walker. Kelly Sotherton has been getting excited about next year's Commonwealth Games, "It's massive for Birmingham, the local area, and the country. We've got a fantastic new stadium being built and what we want is for that to be full of fans to appreciate all the hard work and dedication athletes have taken to get her."

Also looking to feature at next summer's event is The Athletics Museum and you can get involved if you have any ideas for objects that could feature. The Athletics Museum's Jane Ainsworth notes, "It is a permanent home for athletics in this country which celebrates its heritage."

Elsewhere, we catch up with the thoughts of Thames Valley Harriers and Avon Valley Runners as they return to training this month.
