England Athletics Head of Coaching and Athlete Development Martin Rush introduces our Virtual Running website section:
What does it all mean? Improvement that’s what. Journals and diaries have long been associated with running success which is why it’s important we ask you to embrace the world of virtual running. Log your progress via an app or your watch, count steps, create virtual (not to mention real) rivals and map amazing local routes you never knew existed. It’s all there waiting for you to sign up.
While you may be piling in the miles, it’s important your children learn all about the elements that make up success at running through activities like funetics (funetics.co.uk). We’ve also linked up with Sportshall Athletics to offer clubs a free platform to create their own Virtual Multi-Event @home competition! Clubs can now use the Sportshall scoring system, and online OpenTrack virtual competitions platform, to create their own fun ‘at home’ challenges and competitions featuring up to 13 events. Click here to fnd out more.
- We hosted a webinar on 5 May to help guide people on how to use Racefully and get the most out of the app and the free access to Racefully Tribes. Click here to watch again.
