Clubs - London
This page is for your point of contact with the elected Regional Council system covering club matters. It is set up to allow you to know who is responsible for this subject area (which we call a Portfolio) in London. We intend to increase the content of the page once the system is fully up and running with content like news items relevant to the portfolio either in the region or more widely and details of the matters you seem most concerned with from your feedback. Steve has been a member of Herne Hill Harriers for over twenty five years and was Club President in 2002, he has been club secretary for over 20 years and has also been President of Surrey County and club as well as Surrey County team manager at cross country, track & field and sportshall in addition to being one of the founder members and former chair of the South London Athletics Network. He has organized events in all facets of athletics including co-organizer of athletics at London Youth Games for four years, track and field league and open meetings, road races and cross country races. He also organizes fun runs, sport relief runs and other events that encourage the community to be involved in athletics. He enjoys all aspects of athletes whether dealing and helping with newcomers having their first introduction to the sport, developing through the levels up to National standard. Steve has also been on several groups at local borough and London levels involved in the development of athletics and sport in general.
