Regional coach and athlete workshop - Endurance (Winchester)

Venue: Winchester Athletics Track & Centre, Millard Road, Winchester, Hampshire SO23 0QA

Endurance workshops looking at specific areas for endurance coaches looking to develop their athletes. Ideal for coaches looking to understand periodization, planning and getting the athlete into peak shape at the right time. Discussion and theory with thought also given to rest and recovery.

Movement Skills Workshop: Part 2 - run, jump, throw (Exeter)

Venue: St Peter's Church Of England Aided School, Quarry Lane, Exeter, Devon, EX2 5AP

Day two of the workshop on how to develop the movement skills which will enable your athletes to move more quickly and efficiently, generate greater force and reduce the risks of injury. This workshop is for coaches working with athletes who are club level through to aspiring to international level.

Endurance Masterclass with Malcolm Brown (Birmingham)

A very exclusive chance to sit and chat with Malcolm Brown about all things endurance. Malcolm was a speaker at the recent Endurance Conference and has been coach to many international athletes as well as Olympic triathlon medalists Alistair and Jonny Brownlee. Numbers are very limited to allow time for coaches to interact and get the most out off the session with Malcolm.

Covering 100m to 400m, sprint and long hurdles. 1.5 hour theory session on managing athletes in a training environment then a 1.5 hour practical session - with event specialist to identify key principles to add value and context to your coaching. Part 2 of a 2 part series.

Endurance workshops looking at specific areas for endurance coaches looking to develop their athletes. This workshop will cover the basic aspects and key areas of use of anatomy in endurance: functional running anatomy, basic anatomy, gym based assessment; use of resistance bands and base squat patterns. It also includes practical applications and programming; how to progress and when to regress.

Our conference, funded by Spirit of 2012 and hosted by Donna Fraser will be an interactive day, with opportunity to hear from leading experts, England Athletics staff and volunteers covering topics from how to involve more volunteers, how to develop and progress within your role, through to how to being more resilient or making change happen locally.
