2027 Commonwealth Youth Games: Malta

Past participants of the Commonwealth Youth Games have included Jessica Ennis-Hill, Jazmin Sawyers, Dina Asher-Smith, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Lawrence Clarke.

Selection for the Commonwealth Youth Games is open to athletes 16-17 years of age who are eligible to compete for England to be considered for selection. Para athletes gained selection for the Commonwealth Youth Games through direct invitation from the Commonwealth Games Federation and through nomination from England Athletics.

Previous Commonwealth Youth Games

2023 Commonwealth Youth Games at Tinidad and Tobago: The 31 athletes (16 female and 15 male) selected to represent Team England included four para-athletes through the Para nomination process – signifying the first time the competition schedule at the Youth Games will deliver a fully integrated programme.

The 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games took place in the Bahamas from 18 to 23 July. The Games saw athletes from 71 nations and territories gathering on the island of New Providence.
