Transform field events in England with our new Field Event Focus Group

We are launching a brand new Field Event Focus Group - a team of people dedicated to enhancing participation and retention in field events, helping to strengthen the long-term health of the sport at all levels.

The England Athletics Board has commissioned a short-term focus group to explore field event development across the sport. This group will review insights from the ongoing Home Countries led review of track and field participation and will help to align strategies looking towards the next funding cycle. The group will not focus on the remit of the World Class Programme, but the findings of this group will be shared with UKA.

Your input will be vital and the findings and recommendations will be presented to the England Athletics Board by Easter 2025, ensuring a collaborative and strategic approach to sustaining and growing field events at grassroots and within the talent pathway.
