Supporting clubs to develop their officials: webinars
As we transition from the outdoor season into the cross country and endurance season, the role of our volunteer Technical Officials becomes more vital than ever. These dedicated individuals are the backbone of events across all counties and regions, ensuring they run smoothly and create a positive experience for all involved.
To support clubs in recruiting, training, and recognising their technical officials, England Athletics is hosting a series of quarterly drop-in / Q&A sessions. These sessions are designed to help clubs understand how to develop their officials and stay informed about national efforts in officials’ recruitment, development, and integration within the club setting.
What’s being offered
- Quarterly Drop-in / Q&A Sessions for clubs. These take place 7-8pm on Zoom.
- Guidance on recruitment, training, development, and recognition of volunteer officials.
- Updates on England Athletics' work in officials’ development and recruitment.

Every part of the athletics experience directly links to each other and officials can bring about positive change and experiences that can result in athletes achieving personal bests, medals or just enjoying their events, a sense of community within a club, and recommend friends and family to join your club.
