Primary and Year 7 National Schools Cross Country Championships 2017 preview
The Primary and Year 7 National Schools' Cross Country Championships will take place on Saturday 25th March at Prestwold Hall, Leicestershire. The event is formally endorsed by England Athletics.
Almost 1900 athletes have been entered in teams from across England. Click here to view the start list. Distances will range from approximately 1800m for Year 5s to around 2500m for Year 7 competitors. It promises to be a good day of competition; Leicestershire and Rutland events take place in the morning and the Year 5 National competition begins at 12.30pm with the Year 5 competiton and finishes with all the presentations at approximately 2.40pm. World and European 800m medallist Jenny Meadows will be presenting the awards.

Vinco will be live streaming the event on their website for friends and family who are unable to get to Leicestershire and there will also be full on demand playback afterwards. Live footage will also be shown on large screens at the start / finish area.
