Podcast #49: Jo Pavey surprises London Marathon debutants - and hear from our Loughborough Talent Days

In this podcast, you can hear from young athletes who were part of one of our recent Talent Days in Loughborough, as well as from their parents.
James Webb talks to 17 year old thrower Isaac Delaney,

“You don’t get this anywhere else so it’s a privilege to receive these training facilities. So when I went to an international I felt ready straight away – why wait until the internationals to get a kick in the face when you can first learn it here.”

There’s also a chat with 18 year old 400m runner Etty Sisson.

“Not only do I get to train with the best athletes and best coaches in the country, but I also get so much more support – nutrition, psychology.”

As a registered athlete in a club affiliated with England Athletics, you can gain spots to take part in the prestigious London Marathon with around 50,000 runners expected to pass through the start line. In this episode, we meet two athletes from Hereford Couriers who have just done that – Kate Morris and Clare Mallender! We surprised them by inviting five-time Olympian and 2:28:24 marathon runner Jo Pavey to provide some top tips on tackling the event.
