Notice of Annual General Meeting 2024

England Athletics can today give formal notice of its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and is pleased to confirm the numerous ways in which our clubs and member bodies can get involved.

The last 12 months have seen encouraging progress in creating opportunities through participation programmes; enhancing experiences through the development of clubs, coaches, officials and competition; and powering potential through our talent pathways.

Many opportunities still lie ahead, and the organisation is inviting members to have their say in supporting the continuation of key roles and new appointments on the Board.

The AGM will take place at 11am on Saturday 26 October, at Crowne Plaza, Birmingham NEC, Pendigo Way, Marston Green, Birmingham, B40 1PS.

As previously communicated, the meeting will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend, while for those unable to attend or follow the livestream on the day, the key presentations will be shared during a pre-AGM webinar on Monday 14 October from 6pm.

England Athletics Chair Gary Shaughnessy, said:

"The AGM is obviously a key date in the calendar, and we are pleased to be able to open proceedings up to such an extent this year. Giving updates, sharing progress and listening to feedback are all vital to us developing the sport in a strategic, cohesive and sustainable way, so it’s crucial that we are making our processes as accessible as possible."

"Throughout the winter, England Athletics staff and representatives will be out and about across the country meeting those involved in the sport and listening to their opinions. Beginning with the AGM, we urge clubs and member bodies to get involved to the fullest possible extent."

"The more clubs that take part in the AGM and provide feedback more generally, the more informed we will be, the better we will understand the needs of the sport and the more impact we can have- working together with our members."
