Manchester International postponement

After consultation with the other Home Country Athletics Federations and UK Athletics, we have made the collective decision to postpone the 2023 Manchester International, which was scheduled to take place on 16 August.

We will continue to work with our partners with the aim being to rejuvenate the event either later in 2023 or early 2024.

Our focus continues to be ensuring we are providing the best format of competition, at the right time of year, for our home country athletes.

England Athletics will be sending an under-18 team and an under-20 team to the Welsh U20 International, with the selection policy to be published in due course.

Already in 2023, England teams have been in action, including at the Loughborough International, Loughborough Pathway International, and Cardiff 5K, where they have enjoyed well-earned success.

And we’re delighted, of course, to be taking a young England team to the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago in August.
