Loughborough International team announced

We are pleased to confirm the athletes selected to compete for England at the Loughborough International on Sunday 18 May.

The competition is an important marker in the early outdoor season as athletes look to improve on their current form or chase qualifying standards ahead of this year’s World Championships and next year's Commonwealth Games.

Reigning champions from 2024, England will be up against teams representing Loughborough University, Scotland, Wales, the National Athletics League, and Great Britain and Northern Ireland Under-20s.

Notable athletes include Olympic silver medallist and double Commonwealth gold medallist, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, who will be running in the mixed 4x400m squad, Olympian and Commonwealth medallist, Scott Lincoln, in the shot put and British long jump champion, Alice Hopkins.

England Team Leader Scott Grace said:

"The Loughborough International is a great competition and provides an opportunity for English athletes to test themselves against other top athletes. We are really looking forward to a competitive event and we hope this helps many athletes launch their international season. We wish everyone involved this weekend all the best and look forward to welcoming the athletes selected for England."
