Loughborough International: England team announced

The Loughborough International is an important marker in the early outdoor season, as athletes look to improve on their current form or chase qualifying standards for multiple championships this season, namely the Commonwealth Games and the European Championships.

Once again, England athletes will compete against teams representing Loughborough Students, Wales, Scotland and GB&NI under 20s. England Athletics has selected a strong team of athletes in our quest to retain our team title from last year.

For the first time in the match race, we will also have Youth Talent Programme (YTP) relay teams competing against some of the best home nation senior athletes and GB Juniors. The Loughborough International is an excellent development opportunity for the YTP athletes to experience a high and competitive level of racing alongside their peers - many of whom have the potential to be future British relay squad members.

In addition, the 2026 UK Athletics 10,000m Championships will be incorporated into the day.
