What to expect

Throughout the day, you will hear from inspiring speakers, including former Olympic athlete Jo Pavey MBE, and take part in a variety of sessions designed to support your development as a volunteer.

The programme includes opportunities to connect with fellow Run Leaders, Run Leader Mentors and Mental Health Champions, share experiences and best practice, and explore topics such as mental health, inclusion, accessibility and safe group leadership. You will also hear from partners including Parkinson's UK and Lancashire Police, alongside England Athletics experts, who will provide practical insights into creating welcoming, inclusive and supportive running communities.

The event will conclude with a celebration of the incredible impact that RunTogether volunteers have across the country and the role they play in helping more people enjoy running together.

Why attend?

Throughout the day, you will gain new knowledge, share experiences and leave feeling energised and equipped to continue making a difference within your local community.

The National Development Day is an opportunity to invest in your own development whilst connecting with like-minded individuals who are passionate about encouraging others to be active. Whether you're looking for fresh ideas, practical guidance or simply the chance to meet fellow Run Leaders face-to-face, there will be something for everyone.
