International Shot Putter Scott Lincoln takes time to develop grass roots in Yorkshire

Fresh off the back of his British Athletics Indoor Championships success, Great Britain International Shot Putter Scott Lincoln attended Allerton Junior Athletics Club to put the young athletes through their paces and run a Shot Put technical demonstration.

Following the professional demonstrations Scott kept a close eye on the techniques and got involved with the practice session.

AJAC Head Coach Glen Hilton said, "It was absolutely brilliant to have the British Shot Put champion Scott Lincoln come to our club - taking time out of his busy training schedule to coach and guide the future generation of athletes. We have learnt so much from the time spent with Scott."

Following his time spent sharing his knowledge and guiding the youngsters Scott said, "It is great to spend time with budding athletes; the enthusiasm they show is refreshing to see and paramount to the future of our sport."
