Entry standards update for combined event athletes
We have reviewed the opportunities available to U20 and senior combined event athletes ahead of our summer championships and have updated the entry standards to better support athletes wishing to enter.
U20 and senior combined event athletes can now use their 2026 indoor performances (heptathlon and pentathlon) in support of their championship application. The updated standards are highlighted in yellow within the entry standards document, confirming the points required for eligibility. Applications for these championships close on Sunday 14 June, with applications reviewed during the week commencing Monday 15 June.
In addition, following the age group changes introduced in April and the reduced opportunities for U18 women to compete in the 2000m steeplechase, we wanted to confirm the qualifying standard for this event is be based on a 1500m steeplechase performance rather than a 2000m performance. Please note that athletes entering the Age Group Championships in this event will still compete over 2000m steeplechase at the championships.
Entries for the Age Group Championships remain open until Sunday 28 June, with applications reviewed during the week commencing Monday 29 June.
As a reminder to all athletes, championship entries will only be approved once the entry window has closed.
