England team selected for Gent Indoor Meeting
For the first time an England team has been selected to compete at the IFAM Gent Indoor Meeting in Belgium next month.
The competition is a popular fixture on the indoor calendar and is part of the World Indoor Tour bronze level. Attracting fantastic international athletes, it will be a fantastic competitive experience across each of the track and field disciplines.
Speaking on the upcoming competition, Team Operations Manager Vicky Griffiths said:
“Congratulations to all selected athletes, their personal coaches and support teams. This is a varied team in terms of international experience, for some this is their debut. All athletes will have the same goal of achieving a great performance.
“Our aim is to build on their current form in preparation for the British Championships later in February and for some, World Indoor Championships in Glasgow. This meeting provides a great opportunity to achieve qualification standards for both these events and we wish all the athletes the best of luck in that pursuit!”
