England Athletics to host open 400m masters event

England Athletics is proud to announce an open indoor 400m masters event, taking place on Sunday 8 March, incorporated into the England Athletics Indoor Age Group Combined Events and Junior Para Championships weekend at the EIS in Sheffield.

This event is open to all athletes aged 35 and above. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or looking to challenge yourself on the big stage, this is your chance to shine and inspire our younger athletes - plus win prize money.

Prize money

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, we’re offering cash rewards for record-breaking performances:

• UK Age Group Record: £100
• European Age Group Record: £250
• World Age Group Record: £500

Age group winners will also receive tickets to our Senior Outdoor Championships - just like last year! It’s our way of celebrating your achievements and keeping the competitive spirit alive.

Event Structure

The 400m action will run from 12 noon to about 3 pm, so get ready for an unforgettable day of speed, stamina, and celebration.

• Heats by age group to ensure fair and exciting competition.
• Combined heats where sensible (if entries are light), so everyone gets a competitive opportunity on the track.

Entries open 2 February via Roster - when the rest of the weekend's entries also open. Spaces will go fast, so make sure you’re ready to secure your spot!
