Election process opens for England Athletics member-elected Board position at 2025 AGM
One of the two England Athletics member-elected Board positions is up for re-election at the organisation’s AGM (Annual General Meeting), scheduled for 29 November 2025.
The election process opens today, and the deadline by which England Athletics should have received any nomination is 17 October 2025. Full details of the nomination process – including how individuals can apply – are available below.
The elected individual will help to play a key role in shaping the future of athletics and running, ensuring that the views and opinions of members are represented, at what is a crucial time for our sport.
England Athletics is four years into its 12-year strategy to 2032, with the aims of creating opportunities, enhancing experiences and powering potential central to everything we do.
Gary Shaughnessy, Chair of England Athletics, said:
“The member-elected Director role presents an excellent opportunity to support the Board in an important period for our sport.”
We would urge all clubs and member bodies to share details of the role with their members and wider network.
Clubs and Member Bodies should also ensure that their England Athletics portal information is up to date with their Chair, Secretary and Treasurer appointees and contact details, to enable England Athletics to easily verify the nomination or supporter forms on receipt.
