Athlete Panel seeking a Field Events representative for 2026 and beyond
England Athletics is seeking a new Field Events or Combined Events representative to join its Athlete Panel, giving current or recently retired athletes the chance to help shape the future of the sport.
The Athlete Panel is an athlete representative group that provides feedback, advice, and support to England Athletics and its Board on the issues that matter most to athletes, particularly around domestic competition and participation. It aims to ensure the athlete voice is heard across all disciplines and event groups, at every level of the sport. The panel was formed in 2024, with members serving two-year terms.
Newly appointed chair Nisha Desai, who took on the role in March 2026, said;
"As a panel, we are dedicated to supporting the development of all areas of our sport. We believe that including an athlete representative with a strong passion for and understanding of field and combined events will bring a valuable perspective to these disciplines, strengthening our decision-making and helping to drive the continued improvement of the sport."
The role offers an opportunity for someone with experience in field events or combined events to represent fellow athletes, contribute ideas, and influence decisions that affect competition structures, athlete experience, and the wider development of athletics in England. Athletes who are passionate about improving the sport and ensuring their event group has a strong voice are encouraged to apply.
