England Athletics support for County Associations 2025
England Athletics are delighted to support County Associations ahead of the track and field season for the 12th consecutive year.
We continually review our competition grants to ensure that the funding provided to any of our competition partners is aligned with the England Athletics Strategy 2021-2030. We aim to provide inclusive, fun and inspiring experiences for athletes and support our competition partners along the way to innovate and develop competition formats.
In line with the strategy, County Associations can apply for a grant of £500 towards the costs of their track and field championships. We have not attributed specific metrics for the grant application, instead we ask that counties apply for the funding based on demonstrating how their event is progressive, inclusive and endeavours to provide a good experience for everyone.
Criteria
England Athletics will support counties with a grant of £500 for counties achieving the following criteria.
- Evidence of commitment to a progressive organisation.
Example: Evidence of advocating progress, change or improvement within the County Championships.
- Evidence of commitment to an inclusive culture
Example: Providing equal opportunities for everyone involved in the competition, whether that is committee members, athletes, officials or other volunteers.
- Evidence of a commitment to evaluating experience
Example: Obtaining knowledge of the competition from those involved to understand whether it has been an enjoyable experience.
