Field Judge

What does a being a Field Official involve?
- Checking athletes in at the event
- Calling up athletes for each jump/throw
- Indicating the validity of each jump/throw
- Measuring all jumps or throws
- Returning throwing implements or raking the pit
Three steps to becoming a Level 1 Field official
- Attend a Level 1 field official course – covering all field events.
Duration: 4-4.5 hours across 1 or 2 sessions.
For anyone 16 years old or over. - Complete the online safeguarding and health and safety modules that can be completed at your own pace.
Available within Athletics Hub > Online Courses > myLearning - Complete a DBS Check (myAthletics Portal > Apply Online DBS) and upload a licence photograph (myAthletics Portal > Personal Details > Edit).
