2 November: England Athletics is working with Sport England, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport and our other key stakeholders to make sure we provide absolute clarity as soon as possible in terms of what the latest lockdown restrictions mean for athletics, running and our sport in general.
We will provide further detail over the coming days and our existing guidance applies until further notice.
3 November: We have today joined together with British Cycling and British Triathlon to ask Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden to permit certain sports activities to continue during the new lockdown period starting on Thursday [5 November]. Specific to athletics and running, this is namely small outdoor groups and club-led activity, which have been taking place successfully since June, and coaching sessions for young and disabled people.
