Now’s the Time, Thamesmead in association with Team Personal Best have organised a free workshop for anyone interested in finding out more about volunteering at a running event. After the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to be a volunteer run marshal at the annual Thamesmead 5k and Family 1mile eventsand to be paired up with a more experienced volunteer for the day, if they wish.
The BMC Endurance Coaches National Symposium is for all coaches, whether or not members of the BMC. The event will take place on 13th August in Stratford near the London Stadum and includes workshops from speakers Nic Bideau, David Lowes, and Dr Jon Rogers and an interview with Jess Judd and Coach.
As on any normal Tuesday, this one a beautiful summers evening in Kentish Town, North London, Mornington Chasers were gathering at the Talacre Sports Centre prior to their weekly run. But this evening England Athletics chief executive Chris Jones had travelled to London to see the Chasers within their home environment.
East End Road Runners have been busy! They were out in force competing in the annual race series East London Five Interclub Series, “ELVIS.” Then there was a World record for most runners tied together on a 5k run which was hosted by Mind the mental health charity, followed by the Wimbledon Common half marathon with Wombles marshalling. Join them in the Olympic Park next week for the next ELVIS event!
England Athletics’ National Endurance Conference with speakers including Malcolm Brown (coached to many international athletes as well as Alistair and Jonny Brownlee), and Barry Fudge (Head of Endurance at British Athletics).
