England Athletics South West Road Relays

England Athletics South West Road Relays took place at Exeter Racecourse on 8th April 2017. Despite a drop in numbers due to Grand National traffic issues, a good competition was held for Senior and Junior male and female teams.

Bud Baldaro and ‘Bud’s Run’ once again fundraising

Bud's run, a charity event for Parkinson's UK created by endurance coach Bud Baldaro is to return in 2017. As well as supporting coaches as part of England Athletics' coach development programmes, Bud has coached many international athletes and been the voice of the commentary at athletics events including the English National cross country and road relays. This year's event will take place shortly after Bud's 70th birthday.

Athletes on top form in Podebrady

The England race walking team scored a full house of lifetime bests and a series of qualifying times were achieved in the perfect racing conditions at the Podebrady EAA permit meeting on Saturday.

BASC bursaries available for coaches and officials

The British Athletics Supporters' Club (BASC) is looking to assist Coaches and Officials with bursaries. BASC will award sums of up to £250 to successful applicants who wish to pursue higher standards. This might possibly, but not exclusively, involve attending a qualification course run by UK Athletics, England Athletics or similar organisations.
