Game Changers funding for Clubs: deadline 21st May

Funded by our partners Spirt of 2012, our Game Changers Young Volunteer Programme offers the opportunity for clubs to apply for a package of support related to building local partnerships with youth-focused organisations to involve more young people through volunteering at the club. The closing date for applications is 21st May.

Be part of it - Highgate Harriers Night of the 10,000m PBs

It is completely free to attend the event which includes a series of races culminating in the 2017 IAAF World Athletics Championship GB Trials and British National Championships with eight Olympians in involved there is also a "Legends Endurance Seminar" with Paula Radcliffe, Lord Sebastian Coe Ronnie O'Sullivan.

London Marathon team results 2017

The England Athletics Marathon team event was incorporated into the Virgin Money London Marathon. Following registration, vest and additional checks, we are able to announce updated team results.

Manchester International returns

The Manchester International sees England taking on a Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland Ulster, a GB NI Under 20 team as well as a combined British Athletics League/ UK Women' League team. Athletes competing at the UK CAU England Athletics Senior AAA's Championships will be putting themselves in the frame for the opportunity to represent their country in this international fixture.

Photography and video at athletics meetings

Following queries about the best management of photography, video or images of persons under 18 years at athletics meetings UK Athletics have taken legal advice and as a consequence can now provide the guidance for clubs, stadiums, officials and venues.

Athletics Weekly's latest weekly round-up

While attention was on Doha for the Diamond League and Monza for Nike's Breaking2 attempt this weekend, there was plenty of other action including Finn McNally and Kate Maltby winning the Great Bristol 10k. Performances include a 10.09 100m by Reece Prescod in Newham, plus BAL and UKWL results and a report from the weekend's disability athletics action from Stoke Mandeville.

Steeplechase training for beginners and improvers

The May dates for steeplchase training sessions at the Julie Rose stadum in Kent are now available. There is a weekly session for beginners which includes an introduction to the event, hurdling and barrier clearance. This is followed by a performance development session for those with some experience and consists of practical sessions to improve hurdling, barrier clearance and water jump skills.

Using technology to support your coaching

Kent and Medway Athletics Network are hosting this evening workshop aimed at coaches who want to investigate the potential of using technology to capture and analyse athletic performance both during and after a coaching session. The workshop is open to all licensed coaches.

Lillebaelt Half-Marathon sees a win for England

England endurance athletes were in action on the roads of Middelfart, Denmark this weekend in the Lillebaelt Half-Marathon. Following recent performances at the Brighton 10k and the National Road Relays an England Women's team of Hannah Walker, Victoria Knight and Jane Potter headed to Denmark. The team were looked after by England Team Leader Jim Bennett.
