The work of volunteers is fundamental to the success of athletics in England. So whether you want to develop your skills, take on a new role or get involved in the sport for the first time there are plenty of opportunities available. See below to find out more about the roles you can do.
You can also see more information on our "I want to volunteer page".
We have resources available to help with the recruiting and supporting of clubs in our Volunteer Resources section. This includes role descriptions, advice for clubs and more.

Research with volunteers
England Athletics have identified volunteering as a strategic priority moving forward and as such have commissioned HPI Research to conduct some research into the experience of volunteers In Athletics. This work will help England Athletics to understand how they can best support volunteers and the clubs that work with them to ensure their experience is a great one.
If you are contacted by HPI Research in July or August 2016 and you are able to spare the time to help, then we’d love to hear your views. It is purely optional though and we understand how busy you volunteers in the sport are so please don’t feel obliged. If you have any questions or comments about this work or feedback on interactions you’ve experienced please email June Swift or talk to your local team.
