Janita has always been a sports enthusiast. Following the opportunity to volunteer for London 2012 Ceremonies and her daughter wanting to start athletics due to Jessica Ennis’s success; Janita got involved in athletics coaching and competing herself. She wanted to be the one ‘Inspiring Generations’.
She has been now involved in various athletics roles from volunteering, coaching to club committee roles and as an athlete participating running races from cross country up to a marathon. Most recently she has become the chairperson for 2DASH club. She is keen on helping more people getting involved in the sport and to nurture club collaboration and athletics development within the region.
