The AAA Tom Pink Relays have been bringing joy to thousands of children across the country each year since 2007. The format, which introduces athletics competition to the younger age groups, has been funded from a legacy left to the AAA by the Pink Family in memory of their son Tom, a keen athlete who was tragically killed in a car accident at the age of 18.
Nominations are invited for one role on the UK Member's Council (UKMC) of UKA. One election will be held for the Representative of Non-Track Field Clubs. Affiliated Clubs of the National Associations practising Disciplines of Athletics other than track and field athletics will be eligible to vote in this election.
Our England Athletics regional Volunteer Awards presentation evenings are now complete and the London awards were presented on 3 October. Ten London Region winners received their awards and a bottle of bubbly, and five runners up were also recognised.
On Saturday 13 October we will induct more of the greats of the sport into the England Athletics Hall of Fame and honour those volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to athletics and running. You can join us, Hall of Fame inductees, volunteers and more at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, for this exciting awards evening.
The next set of Regional Coach Athlete Technical Workshops will be held on 14 October and you can book now. With the following events to be held on 11 November you can also put the date in your diary now.
We are pleased to invite coaches and athletes to attend our upcoming Regional Coach and Athlete Days. Starting in August these days include event specific Technical Workshops, with practical sessions for coaches and athletes, as well as opportunities to share ideas and discuss key subjects.
This year's England Athletics 10,000m Championships will be held as part of the programme at the Manchester International on Wednesday 15 August 2018. Athletes can register now to be part of the championships action.

England Athletics Chief Executive Chris Jones went to visit the Berkshire club along with Club Support Manager John Harris. The club has a range of training and competition opportunities for athletes but has also been very proactive in the development of young volunteers.
