We are pleased to announce the Northwood Academy of Hurdles coaching series. Five sessions over the next few months provide the opportunity for coaches to work in small teams, enabling them to share ideas whilst working with athletes of their selected age group. The emphasis is on the technical development of hurdlers but other aspects of athlete development, e.g. strength and conditioning - will also figure.
We are pleased to invite coaches and athletes to attend our upcoming Regional Coach and Athlete Days. Starting in August these days include event specific Technical Workshops, with practical sessions for coaches and athletes, as well as opportunities to share ideas and discuss key subjects.
This year's England Athletics 10,000m Championships will be held as part of the programme at the Manchester International on Wednesday 15 August 2018. Athletes can register now to be part of the championships action.

Officiating can be great way to meet new people, develop skills and try something new! Looking to get involved in Officiating but not sure where to start? We will be delivering taster sessions for people who would like to find out more and get involved in officiating - opportunities at the Midland Track Field Championships on 10 June and BAL Big Bash on 7 July.

The Volunteer Awards 2018 are our chance to celebrate and recognise the unsung heroes amongst all of our volunteers in the Athletics and Running community - but we need your help to say 'thank you' to all those people it can't happen without.
England Athletics Chief Executive Chris Jones headed along for a run at the Telford based club and met volunteers and club members. Chris was joined by Dean Hardman, England Athletics' Head of Business Partnerships and Major Events. The two headed out with two of the different groups on offer to meet different people and enjoy different sessions.
Our Team Spirit Champions session are now underway and helping clubs develop the best ways to attract volunteers, and of ensuring their volunteers have an enjoyable and effective involvement in the sport. You can book now and read how a range of people from clubs have already benefitted from these Spirit of 2012 funded sessions.
Before Christmas, we held pilot sessions for our brand-new Team Spirit Champions training. These free, fast-paced, interactive sessions will send you back to your club with plenty of ideas to bring bigger smiles to the faces of the people that make our sport happen: you, the volunteers!
