National Endurance Conference - How to Win: The Development of Power and Speed for Endurance

Venue: The Devon Hotel, Old Matford Lane, Exeter EX2 8XU

Speakers including Malcolm Brown (coach to many international athletes as well as Alistair and Jonny Brownlee), and Barry Fudge (Head of Endurance at British Athletics). The weekend takes the theme "How to Win - the development of power and speed for endurance" and has a mix of workshop, practical, discussion and networking sessions.

Regional Coach and Athlete Workshop - Speed 1 (Lee Valley)

Venue: Lee Valley Athletics Centre, 61 Meridian Way, London, N9 0AR

Covering 100m to 400m, sprint and long hurdles. 1.5 hour theory session on managing athletes in a training environment then a 1.5 hour practical session - with event specialist to identify key principles to add value and context to your coaching. Part 1 of a 2 part series.

Regional coach and athlete workshop - Throws (Bury St Edmunds)

Venue: Bury St Edmunds Leisure Centre, Beetons Way, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP33 3TT

England Athletics will be hosting regional coach and athlete development workshops covering discus, shot, javelin, and hammer. These workshops are aimed at coaches who have completed the Athletics Coach qualification of the old level 2 and above.

Regional coach and athlete workshop - Endurance (Lee Valley)

Venue: Lee Valley Athletics Centre, 61 Meridian Way, Edmonton, London, N9 0AR

Endurance workshops looking at specific areas for endurance coaches looking to develop their athletes. A look at biomechanics and the distance runner. Easy take home skills and drills delivered to also assist in developing better posture, running position and phases. Coaches are free to bring an athlete or two with them.

European Throws Conference

Venue: Paula Radcliffe Athletics Stadium, Loughborough University, Loughborough, LE11 3TU

The European Throws Conference forms part of the Coaching Summit Series for 2017. It is collaboratively hosted by both Loughborough University British Athletics. The aim is to bring the best coaches together and share best practice focussing on the processes through which athletes must go if they are to perform consistently at an elite level.

Youth Development - how to make the most of Athletics 365 (MK)

Make effective use of the award-winning Athletics 365 resources with your athletes. Ideal for Coaching Assistants, Athletics Coaches, those new to Athletics 365 and/or youth development and experienced practitioners wishing to refresh and consolidate their knowledge.

Event Group Coach integration day: Sprints and Hurdles - qualification (MK)

Venue: Stantonbury Athletics Stadium, Soskin Drive, Milton Keynes. MK14 6GB

The Event Group Integration Day is the final step in gaining an Event Group Qualification and will pull together much of the content covered within the qualification online modules, through discussion and group work. Coaches who have completed the Event Group Sprints and Hurdles online course of this qualification should book on to one of these Integration Days.

National Hurdles Conference: Developing Optimal Mindset and Technique of a Hurdler

Venue: Aston University Birmingham B4 7ET

A weekend conference for hurdles coaches and including workshops, discussions and practical sessions with top coaches and athletes including England Athletics National Coach and Athlete Development Manage James Hillier, Danish National Sprints and Hurdles coach Mikkel Larsen, Hungarian National Hurdles Coach Istvan Tomhauser, Director of Coaching for Loughborough Students' Athletics Nick Dakin, and elite athlete Rhys Williams.
