Nominate your Unsung Hero

If you know a volunteer who deserves recognition you can nominate NOW in our Volunteer Awards by going to www.eavolunteerawards.co.uk.

Last year, Chesterfield & District AC member, Rebecca Conway was rewarded for her hard work at the club by picking up the East Midlands Young Volunteer of the Year Award.

Since picking up this award Rebecca has gone on to start a BSc in Sports Coaching course at Leeds Beckett University and is now looking forward to putting into practice what she’s learnt back in the club.

Seeing athletes ‘graduate’ to become the next generation of volunteers at the club in the same way that he did is something that club Chair Jonathan Baker takes particular pride in. "As a club we encourage our young athletes to develop their skills in a number of areas and always ensure more experienced volunteers are on hand to support and guide them along the way. Seeing Rebecca get this sort of recognition is fantastic and I would encourage all clubs to ensure they nominate their hard working volunteers."

If you know a volunteer aged between 14-25 years of age who deserves to be recognised for making a significant contribution to their local club, area or region make sure you nominate them in this years Volunteer Awards.

You can see all the categories for which you can make a nomination at www.eavolunteerawards.co.uk.
