We will be delivering taster sessions for people who would like to find out more and get involved in officiating - opportunities at the Midland Track & Field Championships on 10 June and BAL Big Bash on 7 July.
England Athletics’ Chief Executive, Chris Jones, and Club Support Managers Rich Ayling and Sarah Gardiner, headed down to the South West to visit Bournemouth AC. Bournemouth AC chair Robin James coordinated the club visit, arranging for England Athletics to meet Bournemouth AC coaches, volunteers and representatives from Dorset County Athletics Association and Team Dorset Athletics Network.
Marvin Rees, the Mayor of Bristol, is to take part in the Simplyhealth Great Bristol 10k, acting as a guide for a blind runner who helped set up a running community in the city for those with visual impairments. This is the first time that Marvin has signed up to the 10k event, and he is set to guide Chris Blackabee, from Hereford, who helped set up VI Runners Bristol, a group that supports visually impaired runners.
