CEO Club Visit: Ivanhoe Robins

England Athletics Chief Executive Chris Jones went along to visit Ivanhoe Robins with Club Support Manager Heidi Bradley. Also visiting the club for the evening was international distance runner Gemma Steel. Chris, Heidi and Gemma met young athletes, volunteers, and staff of the school where the club meets. They had the opportunity to find out more about how the club currently operates and plans to develop.

CEO Club Visit: Mornington Chasers

As on any normal Tuesday, this one a beautiful summers evening in Kentish Town, North London, Mornington Chasers were gathering at the Talacre Sports Centre prior to their weekly run. But this evening England Athletics chief executive Chris Jones had travelled to London to see the Chasers within their home environment.

Chorlton Runners - CEO Club visit

The sight of Swansea Harriers' Matthew Rees assisting David Wyeth of Chorlton Runners along the finishing straight of the Virgin Money London Marathon was an act of sportsmanship towards a fellow runner that touched the hearts of millions and, perhaps, brought those two clubs into focus. Yet for those active in the sport across North West England, the Chorlton singlet has become an increasingly regular sight at local and regional races and parkruns and beyond.

Havering AC - CEO Club visit

England Athletics Chief Executive Chris Jones, London Regional Council Chair and Board Member Peter Crawshaw, and Club Support Manager Neil Deans went along to see a training night at the winner of the 2016 England Athletics London Club of the Year Award.

CEO Club visit - Eton Manor AC

Chris Jones and London Council member Jacob Hood headed to the Leyton-based club to meet volunteers and watch the action as over 100 runners from Eton Manor AC and Victoria Park Harriers and Tower Hamlets AC renewed the friendly local rivalry in the two clubs' annual mob match.

Blackburn Road Runners - club visit

If asked to describe the perfect running club, what would you say? Friendly, positive club leaders? Hundreds of members running for social, health and competitive reasons?
