Sir Mo Farah and Lily Partridge top podium as English Marathon Champions

It may have been the hottest London marathon in history with un-seasonally warm temperatures, but conditions did not stop Sir Mo Farah (Newham Essex Beagles) setting a new British record and taking the men's English and British Champion titles. Lily Partridge (Aldershot Farnham District) was first woman home to take the women's British and English Champion titles.

Athletics Weekly's latest weekly round-up

Reports on London Marathon action and other recent performances of note including track and field meets from the USA and Canada, Scottish 10,000m Championships, Kobe 10,000m and Gifu Half Marathon (both Japan), ABP Southampton Marathon and Half Marathon, Blackpool Marathon, and the Terry O'Gara Memorial 5k.

Agata's story: Finding my limit

Agata stood at the edge of the athletics track and heard the patter of feet stream past. 8 sprinters training, as they do four times a week. Both her sisters were part of the training group and their older, blind sister, wanted to be part of that running world as well. She didn't know how to get a foot in the door or whether it was completely unrealistic to even be thinking about it.

England Athletics Marathon championships 2018

This Sunday sees thousands of runners taking to the streets of London for the Virgin Money London Marathon. The event also incorporates the England Athletics Marathon championships for both individual and team medals for men and women. We wish everyone taking part the best of luck and to heed the hot weather warnings and prepare accordingly.

Samantha's Story: Getting Me back

After a rapidly progressing Diabetic Retinopathy when she'd had perfect vision her whole life, Samantha became isolated, stopped going out, which caused depression and massive weight gain. Unfortunately the depression fed the isolation and weight gain and vice versa. She decided to make a change after she was matched with her guide dog Lizzie.

County Track and Field Championships 2018

County championships will be taking place across England this summer. The vast majority of events will be happeningon the weekend of 12 and 13 May with some counties also arranging additional events to take place at other times.

Athletics Weekly's latest weekly round-up

It was another busy weekend with Commonwealth Games action, the national road relays and Brighton Marathon but other highlights included the Garmin Great Ireland Run, plus other road races from Italy and Boston USA, Stafford and Norwich Half-Marathons, Derby and Mersey Tunnel 10k races. There are also track and field round ups from the USA.
