Allerton Junior Athletics Club continues to develop athletes at county standard. Head coach of AJAC Glen Hilton is very proud of his athletes' achievements especially as the Club has only been in operation for three years. Glen said "I just love watching athletes enjoy our sport, doing well and developing."
We're supporting Women's Sport Week 2018! #WSW2018. Brighton and Hove Women's Running Club is an England Athletics affiliated club that has done a range of work to bring more women into running and provide them with on-going support. Among the activities of the club are a RunTogether group, 'Return to Running', and the club hosts an annual beginners' 10 week course which starts each May.
England Athletics are hosting just two more Road Running Roadshows - on the 9th and 10th July. So if you are a club officer, road running coach or leader, or anyone else involved with off-track running - and want an opportunity to find out more about some of our initiatives that aim to support road running clubs, come and join us! There's also the chance to meet England 10k Champion Ashley Gibson and European Cross-Country medallist Naomi Taschimowitz.
The track and field both saw some superb competitions as Bedford hosted the England Athletics U23 and U20 Championships. With places for the World Junior Championships also being contested and opportunities for U18s to also post performances ahead of selections being made for the European Youth Championships the athletes stepped up to produce the goods.
Jake Norris provided the highlight of the first day of the England Athletics U23 and U20 Championships as he unleashed a new UK record in the U20 hammer. There were impressive performances across a number of other events as the titles were decided.
The British Athletics League is once again holding a packed day of action which brings together the best athletes from across its league in an event at Bedford on Saturday 7 July. You can be a part of it and gain a taste of officiating at this exciting event.

Following a recent incident where a hammer thrown from a well maintained cage, carried 6 lanes of a track and caused a minor injury to a spectating athlete; UK Athletics (UKA) has produced new guidance for the safe management of hammer and discus throwing. The guidance is applicable to both training and competition situations, and should be implemented immediately.
