Funding opportunity to involve more young people in volunteering now open

Would you like to increase the number of younger people supporting you through volunteering at your club and would like some help to make that happen? Following a successful pilot stage of the Game Changers Youth Volunteering Programme, applications are now open, to support more clubs and groups to involve young people in volunteering opportunities.

Exciting times ahead for the Youth Advisory Group

The first Youth Advisory Group meeting of the year took place recently. The group welcomed new members from across the UK, keeping strong connections with neighbouring National Governing Bodies to ensure the Group is represented across the UK to promote the work members do within the sport, and also the awareness of the group throughout the UK.

England Athletics are supporting the #iwillWeek campaign. The campaign promotes social action among 10-20 year-olds. This includes activities such as helping your coach lead the warm up, helping manage the club Facebook page or website or simply offering to marshal at your next club race.

England Athletics' 2016 Consultation survey now online

In April and May England Athletics held consultation meetings around the country. After a lot of interesting and useful discussions we have used what we have learned to develop the an online survey so that we can better understand the views of registered athletes, representatives of member clubs, volunteers and everyone who cares about the future of the sport.
