Taking part in the high class Atapeurca International Cross Country in Burgos, Spain on Sunday 11 November, athletes from England had to work hard in their races. This early season event always attracts top athletes from Ehtiopia, Kenya and Countries around Europe, however Home Country athletes held their own with string of good performances.

England Athletics Chief Executive Chris Jones headed to Yorkshire club Spenborough District AC to find out more about their activities. The club trains at Princess Mary Athletics Stadium in Cleckheaton. On arrival Chris was met by the club chair Jason Newell who outlined the set-up of the club and the different training groups who would be in action that evening.
Take part in the first nation-wide study of mental health in the sport and physical activity workforce in the United Kingdom. The study is intended for anyone aged 16 and above and is concerned with identifying the ways in which the mental health of those who work and volunteer in sport and physical activity can be best supported and promoted.
UK Athletics has announced plans to undertake an exercise to bring all UK throws safety cages up to modern IAAF standard specifications over the next few years. The move will see more than 200 UK throws cages modified to meet international cage standards.
UKA have today announced a new mandatory online safeguarding course for all athletics coaches has been launched in an effort to ensure that all children, young people and adults at risk within the sport are protected. UKA and the Home Country Athletics Federations, have been working with EduCare - an independent and industry-leading provider - to develop the bespoke online safeguarding course which will meet the blended training requirements within the Child Protection in Sport Unit(CPSU) annual NGB assessment process.
